Call for Demonstrations & Exhibits
Welcome to the ICMI 2011 Demonstrations & Exhibits Proposal Page!
The ICMI 2011 Demonstrations & Exhibits session is intended to provide a forum to showcase innovative implementations, systems and technologies demonstrating new ideas about interactive multimodal interfaces. The demonstrations may include implementations of techniques presented in the main conference, other conferences and venues, as well as systems not yet presented elsewhere. We encourage both the submission of early research prototypes and interesting mature systems.
Proposals may be of two types:
- Demonstrations:
To submit a demonstration contribution authors should prepare
a paper describing the research and a live demonstration or video showing
the principles of operation and results of what is proposed. This paper will be
published in the ICMI 2011 proceedings. The demonstration paper length for ICMI 2011
is 4 pages and should follow the guidelines for short-paper authors of the main
conference track, which is available on the conference website. Demonstration papers
will follow a single-blind review process. Authors are required to include their names
and affiliations in their papers. All other files (such as videos, screencasts or
presentations) should be made available at a public URL for download and the URL
address should be referred explicitly in the paper.
- Exhibits:
Exhibits proposals can be submitted at any time until September 15, 2011,
and does not require a paper submission. To submit an exhibit, prospective applicants
should fill out and submit this:
exhibit application form
There will be a Best Demonstration & Exhibit Award for the best contribution
(in the understanding that it is for the demonstration/exhibit itself,
not for its description on paper).
