The full program for ICMI 2025 is available at https://icmi.acm.org/2025/sessions/. Please check the day, time, and format of your presentation carefully.

Oral Presentations (for papers assigned to Oral sessions only)

Each oral presentation is allocated 18 minutes including 4 minutes of Q&A.
In addition, all oral presenters will also have the opportunity to participate in the Poster Session on the same day as their oral presentation (not explicitly listed in the program). Please see below for details about poster presentation.

Poster Presentation

Please prepare a poster of up to A0 size (portrait format only) to be displayed and presented during the 2-hour poster session.
The conference venue will not provide poster printing facilities, so please arrange for printing in advance.

Your poster should follow these specifications”

  • Size: A0 (841 mm × 1189 mm / 33.1 in × 48.8 in)
  • Orientation: Portrait (vertical)
For all in-person and (especially) virtual attendees requiring a poster display:
If you would like the organizers to print a poster for you to display for ICMI’25, please read the below instructions carefully:
  1. You will need to first make a payment of AU$50 for the poster printing service via https://payments.canberra.edu.au/VW6/booking?e=ICMI2025-MIS
  2. Email the payment receipt along with a soft copy of your (maximum A0-size) poster to icmi2025-local-chairs@acm.org and icmi2025-program-chairs@acm.org with the subject line specifying your poster session (e.g., Poster 1/2/3) and your paper title– please adhere to this format so that we don’t miss your poster. The preferred file format is PDF.
  3. Please ensure you make the payment and email your poster by EoD Oct 10 (48 work hours before the first poster day, printing cannot happen over weekends).

Virtual Attendees

A small number of participants have received approval from the General Chairs to present virtually. If you are among them and your paper is scheduled for an oral presentation, please follow these steps:

  • Arrange a suitable substitute presenter to deliver your presentation onsite, if possible.
  • If a substitute is not available, you must be prepared to present live via Zoom or a similar platform according to the local time in Canberra.
  • In either case, you are also required to prerecord your presentation video (14 minutes), upload it to a repository of your choice, and share the link with us (email Program Chairs and General Chairs). This ensures that your work can still be presented in case of technical difficulties or other issues. The deadline for sharing this video link is 1st October.

If your paper is assigned to a poster session and you are attending virtually:

  • Please ensure that your poster is physically displayed at the conference. If you cannot arrange this directly, please contact us and we will try to assist. Before you contact us, please make an effort to find a substitute presenter who can help print and mount your poster in the conference.
  • Your poster must include a QR code linking to a 5 minute video that explains your paper.

Demo Guidelines

You will be provided with a table to place your demo apparatus, with access to power supply, extension cords and internet access at the venue. Demo presenters are primarily responsible for bringing computational and other specialised devices that may be required for effective demonstration- the organizers may be able to provide basic accessories such as monitors subject to availability. You can also avail a poster board, on which a poster of up to A0 size (84 cm width x 119 cm height) – portrait orientation, can be installed to describe technical details.

You will be provided adequate time to prepare for the demo (up to 1 hour) and will be expected to carry your equipment with you following your demonstration.
