Personalisation can significantly enhance human-robot interactions in various real-world scenarios by increasing engagement through tailored content, building trust and rapport, improving adherence to the interaction, and enhancing task performance so configuring such a technology is a viable means for inclusiveness. Nonetheless, developing robots capable of doing so necessitates endowing them with specific perceptual capabilities on multimodal inputs and reasoning capabilities along with designing them with the main stakeholders to ensure that their needs can be properly encountered. The special session on Personalization of Robot’s Multimodal Behavior aims to bring together a multidisciplinary group of researchers from areas including, but not limited to, psychology, neuroscience, computer science, robotics, and sociology, to share and discuss current approaches to empowering robots with adaptive and learning capabilities to foster research and development of robotic solutions specifically designed for meeting the individual’s unique needs.

How to submit a special session paper:

Special session papers follow the same submission process and timeline as the ICMI main track papers.
